This is Fatima. She is my first venture into the wonderful world of art dolls. I thoroughly enjoyed making her and there is something about the look in her eye that suggests ... well, who knows what the mind of a sage elder like this dear one might hold!
She is my first art doll, but I don't think she'll be the last!

As a little girl, my father used to pay me a nickle for the mud pies I diligently created and baked in the bright, hot Kansas sun. That was the beginning of my facination with mud and clay, his support fueled my belief that what I was making was special, and I'm sure it is his original belief in me and my creations that continues to fuel that  facination with clay to this day.

Here are some samples of my personal clay gallery. Some are whimsical, serious, spiritual, and, I like to think, even enchanting - like the lady in blue kissing the frog that is becoming her prince - but, all are a small part of me. I hope you enjoy!
