A part of the Mipo-Chapbook series, this chapbook contains twelve poems from Peggy Eldridge-Love. Author Shelia Goss says in her Goodreads review that Eldridge-Love's poems "sing off the pages", while"love it" is a first utterance by many others who have read it.

A Word From Peggy:
Whee ...
We have entered the 'dog days' of
summer, the excessive heat stretches across this nation from coast to
coast, and with it comes an uncanny need for introspection of self and
direction. It is as if your body's heat somehow demands your heart and
soul to come into agreement and alignment as to where-to-from-here. Or
maybe that is just a mental mirage I'm having!
If it is a mirage,
I like the illusion. The horizon before me looks inviting and full of
promise. My creative energies are like an effervescent fountain,
showering not just me, but hopefully others that venture into my small
world with its newness and expectation.
Here is hoping then that this
triple digit heat consistently surrounding us at the moment serves to ignite triple
digit passion for whatever lies ahead!
A few updates ...
Judging Emerging Playwrights
What a thrill and privilege it was judging both at the local level and then being invited to serve as a national judge for the Playwright category in the NAACP ACT-SO competition. Those talented young playwrights from across the nation I judged were startlingly refreshing in their talent, their creative reach, and their ability to capture and deliver with their pens (or keyboards) some of the most riveting, socially significant scripts imaginable.
I also had the extreme pleasure of judging in this category along side two profoundly talented and accomplished dramatic writing professionals who not only write, but act, and teach the art(s) at Tisch NYU and Kansas University. Each of the young contestants who made it to the national finals was given feedback and critique, advice and recommendations from these contemporary insiders that should ensure the jump start of their futures as playwrights whether they were prize winners or not!
Recent Publications
I have a few new things that are now in print. A short story, "War Paint", was published in the OCHO #30 issue. A poem entitled "Free Wrapping With Purchase (After Christmas Sale)" was included in the June Issue of Poets and Artists. Also, "Peach Seeds" ,a chapbook of a dozen of my poems was published as a part of the Mipo-Chapbook Series. Digital copies of these journals are available and, at this writing, the Mipo-Chapbook Series is available for free download to iPad users. Hard copies can be purchased from Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, Scribd.com, and MagCloud.com.
Old Friends:
Note:This is from an earlier post, but I don't think the link was working to this fine organization previously so I wanted to retain this personal note about them for a while longer. I hope this link does work now and will take you to their website so that you can see first hand the wonderful contributions they make.
In February I said good-bye to a group of wonderful people that I'd been privileged to share a lot of my life with the last few years. They were the people that make art happen for a lot of people from around this nation. Art exhibition coordinators, curators, registrars, the people who lovingly protect and crate some of the most exquisite treasures, focused and dedicated people who communicate and administer not only visual arts and humanities, but performing art and professional development in the arts as well.
These were my co-workers and friends at Mid-America Arts Alliance in Kansas City, Missouri, the nation's oldest arts alliance and one that serves the states of Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Texas. An unsung group that, in my humble opinion, deserve a world of kudos!
Enough! Grab all the happiness you can by the tail and let it take you where it will!
